Saudi Pro league live streaming: How to watch Ronaldo play for Al Nassr

“Player’s at my age go to play in Asia or Qatar,” said Ronaldo after he moved to Juventus after a career defining stint with Real Madrid. But now the time has come for the 37-year-old to move to Asia as he signed a €200m per year deal with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr and will also become an ambassador when he stops playing in 2024. This deal has made him the most paid footballer of all time, surpassing Kylian Mbappe’s fee with Paris Saint Germain.

Ronaldo had a great stint with Real Madrid where he grow from just an ordinary to the greatest of all time. Ronaldo played for Sporting CP and Manchester United before moving to Spain. He stayed with Madrid for 10 seasons before moving to play in Italy and sign with Juventus in 2018. The Portuguese footballer then moved to Manchester United in 2021 where he was very famous amongst the fans as it was this club where he showed the world that a great footballer is born way back in 20’s.

Ronaldo was rested for some matches at the United where a report of rift between him and the manager did rounds in the media. Further, his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan where he blasted the Manchester United management didn’t go well with the club and they released him during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The 2016 Euro cup winner didn’t had a great world cup where he was also rested in the all important pre quarter final clash. Portugal faced a defeat in the quarter finals to Morocca that jolted Ronaldo’s hope of winning a world cup for Portugal.

Rumour mile had their say that European club are least interested in Ronaldo who is nearing his 40’s and a move to Saudi Arabian club well may be a possibility and it actually came true on boxing day where Al-Nassr announced on social media that they have signed Cristiano Ronaldo until 2025.

Advantage for Al Nassr

The 47th edition of Saudi Professional League is underway where 16 clubs are competing for the coveted title. The team which tops the table after playing 30 games each will be crowned champion. Riyadh-based Al Hilal are the most successful club in the tournament but their biggest rival Al Nassr are the defending champions and sits on top of the table in this edition as well. With Ronaldo joining the forward line, Al Nassr will fancy their chances of another title. Ronaldo fans would be hopeful that their hero performs magic in Asia and can return to Europe again for the Champions League like Zlatan Ibrahimovic who went onto play in the American league and came back to Europe in his 40s.
